Shantelle Thompson is a strong and proud Barkindji woman, known as the Barkindji Warrior. Her mission is to inspire people to overcome adversity, challenge boundaries, smash stereotypes and change the narrative about what it means to be a woman from a diverse and marginalised background.
Shantelles’ greatest accomplishments include being a mother to three children, breaking the cycle of Intergenerational trauma, being the first of her community to complete university education, overcoming Post-Natal Depression and a suicide attempt after the birth of her twins, becoming a x3 World Champion Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, a shadow team representative for the GC2018 Commonwealth Games, MAYSAR Non-Executive board member Wrestling Victoria and an Oceania Wrestling Champion.
